Official Statement of Our Lady of Victory Parish

The statement below was a statement apparently written by Fr. Martin McCamley, pastor of Our Lady of Victory Parish in State College, PA. The statement was left to the other priests in the parish in order that it could be read from the puplit at each Mass on the weekend of March 1st and 2nd.

<<< Begining of statement >>>

PLEASE READ THIS AT ALL MASSES THIS WEEK-end

FATHER MCCAMLEY HAS ASKED ME TO READ THIS FOR YOU.

MY DEAR PARISHONERS,

YOU ARE AWARE THAT SERIOUS CHARGES HAVE BEEN BROUGHT AGAINST ME. AS A RESULT, I WILL BE ON LEAVE FROM THE PARISH UNTIL THESE MATTERS CAN BE SETTLED, MY INNOCENSE ESTABLISHED, AND I can UNDERGO AN IN DEPTH PSYCHOLOGICAL EVALUATION. PLEASE CONTINUE TO PRAY FOR ME AS I WILL FOR, THAT GOD'S WILL BE DONE.

<<< End of statement >>>

Note: According to a parishoner who attended the 5:00pm Mass on Saturday March 1st, the priest who said Mass added the following statement:

"Fr. McCamley has NOT been removed or suspended.""
